Following consideration of the importance of environmental and social sustainability and a commitment to be a benefit to the Currumbin community, The Vege Chip Company is committed to strive to achieve environment and social sustainability.

The Vege Chip Company is a Food Manufacturing company located in Currumbin Waters on the Gold Coast. The Vege Chip Company provide a tasty alternative Gluten Free snack food to Woolworths, Coles and other Health food stores throughout Australia.

The surrounding river, beaches, hinterland ranges and wildlife Sanctuary are all cultural significance to the local people.

The Vege Chip Company commits to continually improve the environmental and social sustainability performance and annual Benchmarking.

The Vege Chip Company has implemented an Environmental Management Program and meets the requirements of EarthCheck Assessed.

The Vege Chip Company will comply with all relevant legislation and regulations, and strive to achieve international best practice.

We have appointed the OHS officer as the EarthCheck Coordinator, who has responsibility and skills for ensuring ongoing environmental performance, identification of environmental risks, recording and monitoring of impacts and implementing environmental and social sustainability measures.

Special consideration will be given to employing and empowering local employees, and wherever possible environmentally sustainable, products and services will be sourced locally.

We encourage staff to present our commitment to environmental and social sustainability and our benchmarked/certified status under the EarthCheck Program to our guests, suppliers, contractors, agents and wholesalers.
